Community Manager

SPARK is looking for a Community Manager that is savvy with social trends and swift to respond to them. We need an exceptional writer with a creative mind and a knack for building relationships online—and offline. 

The Basics

Bachelor's Degree
2-3 years of experience managing online communities
(Agency experience a plus)
An eagle eye for emerging social trends

Research & Social Listening

  • Proficiently navigate all social channels and their design principles
  • Monitor social conversations and trends to find and join conversations that align with the client’s brand 
  • Assist in developing and implementing clients’ social media strategies

Engagement

  • Monitor and manage client brands across all major social networks
  • Actively listen to social sentiment and conversations
  • Identify and connect with new communities of interests, influencers, and advocates to grow social media channels
  • Attend offline events to strengthen relationships with loyal advocates while building new ones

Content Creation

  • Develop and write AP Style posting guides that align with each brand’s voice 
  • Make creative, fun, and socially-driven videos and graphics that move people to engage with brands
  • Partner with creative teams and agency partners on developing integrated campaigns that align with social strategies and best practices
  • Collaborate with creative content manager to craft scroll-stopping solutions that address specific project objectives

Analytics & Reporting

  • Improve the integrated team’s overall performance and embrace a collaborative approach 
  • Evaluate and track the performance of proactive and reactive engagement tactics to develop and evolve strategies
  • Use insights to drive measurable content creation 

Skills Required

  • Exceptional writing skills with a knowledge of AP Style Guidelines
  • Experience creating and producing content/campaigns for social media (video shooting and editing preferred) 
  • Creative conceptualization and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding of social media analytics and KPIs
  • Can clearly state opinions and verbalize visual concepts
  • Outgoing with a positive attitude and the ability to engage advocates in offline conversations
