Community Manager

SPARK is looking for a Community Manager that is savvy with social trends and swift to respond to them. This individual is an exceptional writer with a creative mind and has a knack for building relationships online and offline.

The Basics

Bachelor's Degree
2-3 experience managing online communities, agency experience desired

Research and Social Listening

  • Deep understanding of social channels and design principles for all social platforms.
  • Monitor social conversations and trends to join in on conversations that align with the brand.
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies for clients.

Engagement

  • Monitor and manage client brands across all major social networks and actively listen to social sentiment and conversations.
  • Attend offline events, further strengthening relationships with loyal advocates and building new ones.
  • Identify and connect with new communities of interests, influencers and advocates across social platforms to grow social media channels.

Content Creation

  • Exceptional writing skills and knowledge of AP style guidelines to develop posting guides that align with each brand’s voice and style.
  • Make creative, fun, and social-driven videos and graphics that people will engage people to connect with brands.
  • Partner with creative teams and agency partners on development of social aspects of integrated campaigns and ensure social components align with overall campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Creative Content Manager to artfully build creative solutions to address specific project objectives.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Work to improve the integrated team’s overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach.
  • Evaluate and track performance of proactive and reactive engagement to develop and share actionable insights that evolve engagement strategies.
  • Use insights to drive content creation that is measurable.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of experience managing online communities, agency experience desired
  • An exceptional writer, with knowledge of AP style guidelines
  • Experience creating and producing content/campaigns for social media
  • Experience with video editing and creation preferred  
  • Demonstrated creative conceptualization and critical thinking skills
  • Understanding of social media analytics and KPIs
  • Deep understanding of social media emerging trends
  • Not afraid to state opinions clearly and can verbally describe visual concepts
  • Outgoing with a positive attitude and the ability to engage advocates in offline conversations
