Marketing Manager

SPARK is looking for a marketing manager that can tell our story to potential clients, marketing professionals, and the industry at large. They’ll work directly with agency leadership in our San Diego office to ensure our work gets the recognition it deserves and our team gets the client opportunities they’re after. All in all? We’re looking for someone who wants to see SPARK thrive.

New Business

  • Manage and vet incoming sales inquiries
  • Proactively reach out to identified potential clients
  • Lead proposals for new business inquiries while collaborating with leadership, brand, and creative teams
  • Continue potential client relationship through close
  • Work with brand team to create contracts


  • Act as a brand manager for all SPARK marketing efforts
  • Maintain, update, and optimize marketing plan
  • Create and manage specific marketing plans for key services and verticals
  • Monitor performance analytics and deliver reports on marketing efforts
  • Provide weekly status updates on initiatives and hold monthly marketing team meetings
  • Work with Media Director to optimize website SEO and PPC campaigns
  • Work with Social Content Creator to develop and implement social strategies
  • Asses email marketing platforms and their opportunities


  • Work with Copywriter to optimize and create thought leadership content that’s relevant to our targeted industry verticals and publications
  • Work with brand team to develop and implement PR plans
  • Identify industry awards that SPARK and our clients can submit to
  • Manage award submissions and budgets
  • Collaborate with operations and creatives to gather submission content
