Social Media Analyst

SPARK is looking for an experienced Social Media Analyst to monitor competitors, the industry, and report on social media initiatives and campaigns. For this role, you should have a deep understanding of how each social network operates and be familiar with the analytics in the native and non-native platforms, including Google Analytics and third-party social listening and reporting tools.  

The Basics

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of three years experience in social media marketing with demonstrated successes, agency experience preferred
Ability to manage and analyze large data sets in Excel and utilize pivot tables

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, track and report on performance of client KPIs for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Identify habits of our online customers and suggest ways to reach a broader audience
  • Conduct competitive and brand audits and present out to brand stakeholders
  • Coordinate with internal team members to design campaigns based on your knowledge of the audiences
  • Research and present on how emerging social networks, features, and tools can benefit our company and our clients
  • Assist on new business pitches and proposals
  • Use social listening tools to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Work closely with the Media Team on social media ad campaigns
  • Collaborate with non-social team members to integrate analytics and data-driven thinking into the whole agency
  • Assist the team in building and optimizing social media strategies
  • Actively present to clients on performance data and insights on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of three years experience in social media marketing with demonstrated successes, agency experience preferred
  • Ability to manage and analyze large data sets in Excel and utilize pivot tables
  • Ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points with excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Experience with 3rd party analytics and syndication research platforms (Google Analytics, TapInfluence, Brandwatch, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to work and collaborate with social and non-social team members
