Without a defined brand, success can become a struggle. Tampa’s Ciccio’s Restaurant Group was caught between rapid growth and keeping their house of brands connected. Beginning with a refresh of their fast-casual Ciccio Cali, we created a restaurant branding system that was flexible enough to be applied to any of their other concepts while maintaining each location’s individual flavor and personality.
We captured Ciccio’s California-inspired attitude with an updated logo design and fun, life-loving, casual messaging like “pop-in lunch” or “lean-back” brunch to match.
While this project began with a simple brand refresh and guide creation, it led to rethinking the restaurant’s menu design, building out interior finishes, and a new style of food photography helping them show off the bowl culture goods like never before.
This brand refresh not only helped launch 2 more Ciccio Cali locations, but sparked a change across other concepts they owned. From now on, each new Ciccio Restaurant Group concept would include consistent-feeling yet adaptable touch-point designs before doors even opened.
Together with a creative campaign, we reminded our northern neighbors of Florida’s hidden gems, and reversed a decline in Sunshine State tourism.
