Current Hotel

When the site for a ground-up hotel is centrally located between two distinct cities, you use your blank slate to create an experience that constantly evolves with the local culture. That’s why in Tampa Bay, we used our central location to our advantage by sharing unique “only in Tampa Bay” experiences with our guests. Like the tides of the waterfront hotel, The Current delivers an experience that ebbs and flows to the unique rhythm of Tampa Bay.

We delivered

The Current Hotel lives up to its name by becoming the hub for only the most contemporary and worthwhile ways to enhance the guest experience. Allowing people to explore the best of the area
without having to leave.

Designed to resemble the pull of the tide, our logo design goes with the flow as we highlight information and experiences. The brand system of containers, patterns, and other elements created from the main mark help the hotel branding feel more like that of a distinctive high-fashion line.


Current opened its doors in the fall of 2019, becoming the Tampa Bay area’s third
Autograph Collection Hotel.

With a blossoming culture of art in Tampa and St. Pete we leverage the gallery walls inside the hotel to feature new work by local artists each quarter.

To bring the best of the bay to our guests, the sundry shop is curated by Oxford Exchange and features goods that Tampa locals love

From locally roasted coffee to farm sourced ingredients, the menu at our restaurant and bars is inspired by seasonal cuisine local to the area and influenced by the evolving flavors of Tampa Bay.

With its rooftop bar, we create grammable moments of the waterside pool with unique brand elements meant to be viewed from the sky.
