Brand Director

SPARK is looking for a Brand Director who will serve as a compass for both the client and agency teams. You live in the place where the need to create meaningful impact on our clients’ business and the desire to create great work intersect. You bring strategic insight that can serve as the foundation for our ideas. You create relationships at all levels to ensure the value of what the agency brings is recognized internally and externally. You serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board for clients and your team. You are the voice for the bigger picture and are willing to challenge existing thoughts and beliefs to do so. Equal parts coach, investigator, inspirer and contributor, you bring the right pieces and perspectives together to ensure agency & client, creative & strategy and business & art can work together towards progress.

The Basics

8-10+ years agency experience (Travel & Tourism experience a plus)
Global Advertising experience is a must
1-2 years managerial experience with direct reports

Be Accountable to the Business

  • Set clear strategic priorities for integrated teams
  • Ensure accountability to client growth by managing initiatives against agreed upon KPIs
  • Be curious and inquisitive in the pursuit of market, industry, consumer and client insights
  • Contextualize business insights to create internal/external understanding of opportunities
  • Oversee effective management of client budgets
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making regarding agency resources dedicated to client initiatives

Seek Opportunities to Develop & Grow The Business

  • Develop and maintain quarterly and annual growth plans for clients
  • Lead integrated process for client growth plan development
  • Proactively communicate client opportunities based on industry, competitive, market and consumer insights
  • Identify client upsell opportunities and guide the navigation of how to pursue them
  • Regularly sell the value of the agency through consistent client communication

Active Ideation

  • Regularly contributor strategic insights and ideas to guide development of client work
  • Actively and regularly provide inspiration and ideas to inform product development

Nurture Partnerships

  • Understand, communicate and advocate equally for the agency and client priorities
  • Develop relationships beyond our primary contacts that enable you to partner with both client and internal teams
  • Be vocal in your POV at critical moments

Develop The Team

  • Develop and manage growth plans for staff
  • Provide active, in-the-moment mentorship for staff
  • Be actively committed to your own growth and development

Experience & Qualities

  • Outstanding client service and relationship building
  • 8-10+ years agency experience (Travel & Tourism experience a plus)
  • 1-2 years managerial experience with direct reports
  • Empathetic listener and thoughtful communicator
  • Curious and constantly seeks knowledge
  • Values building relationships
  • Active contributor
