Social Media Coordinator

SPARK is looking for a Social Media Coordinator addicted to social media to support and execute social media strategies that meet and exceed client expectations. Your primary objective is to support the social team’s effort through community moderation, social data analysis, and proactive research. The social media coordinator will bring a constant curiosity and self-starter mentality to play a pivotal role at SPARK.

The Basics

Bachelor's Degree
1-2 years in the social media space or equivalent combination of training or experience
Familiar with key social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok and Snapchat

Community Management

  • Respond to customers in a timely manner on all of the brand’s posts
  • Monitor, track and report on feedback and online comments to social media team
  • Identify key topics/trends our fans/followers are discussing
  • Identify real-time content opportunities for our brands
  • Maintain brand’s presence on social media through conversation with current and potential followers
  • Responsible for utilizing project management systems to facilitate project kick-offs, revisions, phases, billing and communications
  • Keep projects moving forward, align deliverables against contracts and flag potential issues

Social Listening

  • Monitor client brands across all major social networks and actively listen to social sentiment and conversations
  • Identify communities of interests, influencers and advocates across social platforms to grow client social brands and presence.
  • Identify and flag opportunities to respond to social inquiries swiftly

Posting/Scheduling

  • Support social media managers in the scheduling of client posts using management software
  • Proof all content created by social team and ensure brand team review/sign-off
  • Facilitate client content feedback and approval utilizing approved communication channels

Research & Reporting Support

  • Evaluate and track performance of proactive and reactive engagement
  • Pull reports from analytics tools and package for review by social media manager and social team
  • Support in the development and formatting of client reporting documents
  • Complete research tasks and assignments from social team staff in pursuit of client and agency opportunities

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years in the social media space or equivalent combination of training or experience
  • Familiar with key social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok and Snapchat
  • Ability to manage and analyze large data sets in Excel, pivot table experience a plus
  • Familiar with social media tools including but not limited to social listening (Listen First, etc.), engagement (HootSuite, etc.), social analytics (Sysmos, Brandwatch, etc.) and data asset management systems (Adobe Livefyre, etc.)
  • Experience with 3rd party analytics and syndication research platforms (Google Analytics, TapInfluence, etc.) preferred
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
