Senior Editor

SPARK is seeking a Senior Editor who is eager to learn, lead, and collaborate with our creative teams. You are a storyteller who is passionate about working together to create visual narratives that move people. You are a multi-tasker who can deliver well art directed photography and video across a variety of platforms. The Basics

5+ years experience with videography, photography and editing
Experience with digital technology and editing software packages
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

Concepting/Pre-Production

Works collaboratively with creative team to develop concepts for tv spots, video and still content
Proactively contributes conceptual and executional ideas to improve quality of end product
Actively shares new filming and photo techniques, style inspiration and reference visuals to inspire creative team leads
Collaborates early and often with creative teams and help develop treatment decks/shooting boards
Supports production planning to ensure accuracy of budgeting process and enables the team to effectively manage pivots

Production

Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to problem solve during shoots
Actively collaborates with creative, brand, and client teams to ensure everything is captured to expectations
Willing to provide options on shots when asked, and be proactive about offering additional option suggestions in the moment
Maintains a clean, organized and professional environment on set
Demonstrates an ability to pivot due to schedule and/or environmental demands without sacrificing quality of end product

Post-Production

Offers multiple edit options for internal and client team partners
Effectively manages time and tasks with multiple projects and deadlines
Embraces a collaborative edit process with internal and client team partners
Proactively communicates ideas and opportunities for visual storytelling throughout the post-production process
Demonstrates attention to detail with edit revisions, project labeling, and file management

Experience & Qualifications:

5+ years experience with videography, photography and editing
Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Premiere, Lumetri Color, Photoshop, Lightroom. Adobe After Effects a plus)
Knowledge of cinema camera operation (ie RED Cinema, Sony, Canon, ARRI)
Knowledge of photography camera and lighting (ie Canon, Nikon, Sony, Hasselblad)
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio and a thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
Color correction for video ranging from commercials and features to short films
Empathetic listener and enthusiastic communicator with a variety of teams
Solutions-first self starter who embraces a collaborative environment
Able to work both on and off-site
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
