You’re probably familiar with Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart—a year-long, global healthcare fundraising campaign for the American Heart Association that challenges million of children to be active. It’s dated look was due for a refresh, and with the help of some brightly-colored friends, we gave this unique fundraising event a voice for today. Now, children from preschool to middle school are more inspired than ever to live healthier lives and help others do the same with donations.
Introducing the Scare Squad: 7 charismatic characters that tell a heart-healthy story throughout the program. Each one was given a personality and story that communicated different aspects of being heart healthy.
The Scare Squad’s energy inspired revamped assembly materials for schools’ kick offs. This included an interactive pre-event video, animated introductions to each of the squad members, and easy-to-remember instructions for the children to take home.
Often times, school fundraisers can seem like a chore. So at every phase of the Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart Journey, we instilled a sense of pride in the cause, bringing us that much closer to our goals. Even the how-to videos for admins were considered.
